Bangalore Institute of Technology Admission

Application process for admission to all courses offered by BIT is done in offline mode. Candidates need to download the application form from official website.

The basic eligibility for UG courses is class 12 with minimum 50% marks while for PG courses, applicants should have a graduate degree in relevant stream with required marks from a recognized university.

Selection is done on the basis of entrance exam score. Admission in B.Tech and M.Tech is done through JEE Main and GATE respectively. However, candidates may also appear in PGCET in order to get admission in M.Tech conducted by VTU.

IISc has an Office of Career Counselling and Placement (OCCaP) which takes care of students placement process. The placement process adopted by the IISC is as follows:

• Placement season begins in September and goes on till May. Invitations are sent to recruiters by OCCaP. New recruiters contact directly by sending a brief email and explaining their interest.
• Interested Recruiters are registered on the OCCaP website for Final Placements. Interested students appear for the recruitment process through online portal. Details of interested students are made available to recruiters through OCCaP.
• The job description is made available to eligible students after they apply. The recruiters fill an online job description Form containing details of the job and the offer.
• Recruiters can shortlist students online. They also maintain a waitlist of students who can be interviewed in the event of non-availability of some of the shortlisted students. Recruiters visit the campus on the allotted date(s) and conduct tests and interviews according to their internal recruitment processes.
• The final list of selected students is shared with OCCaP.

Christ University Scholarships: -

Merit Scholarship: The merit of Christ University Scholarship is initiated for meritorious students based on their performance at the pre-entry level and subsequent performance in various tests and examinations.

The scholarship will consist of a percentage refund of fees. Each combination will be considered for two merit scholarships. Combinations with more than one section will be considered proportionately.

The fee refund/reduction will be considered as follows.

Students in the fees range of:

• Up to Rs. 10,000 - 50%
• Rs. 10,000-Rs 25,000 - 25%
• Above Rs. 25,000 - 10%

Scholarship for Financial Assistance: Students choosing to avail of this scholarship must apply to the Office of Awards and Scholarships with supporting documents.

Students seeking this scholarship at the time of admission are expected to fill up a separate application for the scholarship available along with their main application form and submit to the Office of Scholarships for perusal. The scholarship committee will then interview them on the allotted dates, and their concessions will be decided prior to the payment of their fees. The percentage of concession for different categories is recommended as follows:

• Self-financing courses - 0-50%
• Others- -0-90%
